Thankfully Reading Weekend 2011: Day Three

November 27, 2011 Thankfully Reading Weekend 8

You’ve made it! It’s day three of the Thankfully Reading Weekend!  I hope you’ve enjoyed the event!

I’ll be spending the day in the car, driving back home from a visit to my parents’ house. Well, I should say my husband will be driving, I’ll be reading :)

Don’t forget to take part in the challenges! Have chance to win some pretty fun prizes! Here is a list of the challenges so far:

Mini Challenge #1: What book are you most thankful for?

If you are hosting a Thankfully Reading Weekend challenge or giveaway on your own, be sure to send me the link so I can add it to the list!

Late this evening/early tomorrow I’ll be posting the wrap-up post.  Feel free to continue reading as long as you like; there is no “end time” to this event.

Have fun & I hope you have another wonderful reading day!

I love reading in the car! Not when I’m driving though….;) This morning I read the last seven pages of Blood Meridian. I have to let that book sit in my head for a few minutes. In the meantime, I am looking at the shelves for the next book. Today will be spent grading papers and reading a book…

I can’t read in the car either…but people travel to my house for Thanksgiving so I’m in good shape for reading at home :) I’m almost done with The Children of Henry VIII :) Then, I’ll have to decide what to read next…I have a couple of others I’ve started that I would like to finish but like Lisa, I’ve got to intermingle my reading today with grading papers :p

I love reading in the car. Thankfully, so do my two older kids. I just have to wait for the toddler to fall asleep. We didn’t travel this year, and I realize I had much fewer uninterrupted blocks of time for reading.
Just finished Tumbling by Diane McKinney-Whetstone. I stumbled upon it at my mom’s house, because I kept misplacing Cleopatra.

I like listening to audio books in the car, but I’ve been home off and on all weekend, so I’ve had time to read while the hubby has been here to watch the little one. I hope you have a great trip home.
