Jenn, how did you like Steve’s short stories? Last week I finished DRIVEN TO INK by Karen Olson and SATORI by Don Winslow. I also finished listening to Louise Penny’s BURY YOUR DEAD. i highly recommend them all. This week I’m working on reading a manuscript and listening to Martyn Waites’ THE MERCY SEAT. 2011 is off to a great start!

I am going to finish Fall of Giants this week! It’s a must (book group thing). And then, reminder to self to not take on 1,000 page books for a long time. I need to finish The Sherlockian – had to set it aside for the big book. And I’m really in the mood for cozy or something fun. I’m hoping Hail to the Chief arrives at my library as it sounds like fun!
To Jen – I love Louise Penny! Bury Your Dead was a good book.
The State of the Onion – of course! I’ll be ordering the rest of the series this week!
Yay! This is the one bloggy thing I missed last week. Right now I’m reading DRAGONFLY IN AMBER on my Nook and MAISIE DOBBS in print, plus ATLANTIC by Simon Winchester in audio (that will probably still be around next week). Other books I hope to get to this week are WIDE SARGRASSO SEA and THE QUEEN OF LAST HOPES by Susan Higginbotham. I also need to start FREEDOM for my readalong with Jennifer from Literate Housewife.
Those White House Chef mysteries must be good! I’m reading Prom and Prejudice right now.
You’ve had a fantastic week! I’m plodding through my current book and it’s taking a long time. Here’s to hoping it gets finished soon, haha!
