This weekend was great reading for me. I’m so glad I devoted extra time to my books. Finished up THE SILENCED (Battles) and THE SENTRY (Crais). Started listening to THE BURNING GIRL (Billingham) on audio and am in the middle of Steve Hockensmith’s ebook of Christmas short stories, NAUGHTY. So much great reading.
Today at lunch I’ll start in on Val McDermid’s REPORT FOR MURDER and at the gym I’ll continue listening to THE BURNING GIRL. Oh how blessed I feel to have so much great stuff to read!
I’m currently reading The Apex Book of World SF, edited by Lavie Tidhar, in order to review it for GUD Magazine.

I will be happy to read one book: The Widower’s Tale by Julia Glass this week.

I had the chance to read more last week than I have in a long while and absolutely adored my time spent between the pages. I wrapped up two books that have been on my list for a little while: Diann Ducharme’s The Outer Banks House and Gigi Amateau’s Claiming Georgia Tate. I also had the chance to start Silas House’s The Coal Tattoo. (I picked up all of these titles at the James River Writers Conference in early October. Reading tomes signed by the author’s hand always adds something special to the experience, don’t you think?)
I can’t even remember the last time I had more than one book to list within a week. I’m hoping this new trend can continue.
Happy reading everyone!
I’ve heard amazing things about The Historian. Enjoy! I’m reading Possession and The Cookbook Collector. Hopefully I’ll get through Possession by the end of the week. Sheesh!

It’s a fantastic book, perfectly suited for an audiobook!
I’m reading Cleopatra by Stacy Schiff for one book club and will read Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English by Natasha Solomons for the other when I’m through.
I hope you’re enjoying The Historian. I’m sure it makes for a great audio book.

I wish I could have participated in Thankfully Reading…. that would have been awesome and I would have loved the reading time but I just didn’t have time.
REPORT FOR MURDER sounds good!
