Well, I’ll probably be finishing Alafair Burke’s 212 either today or tomorrow. If it hadn’t been Sunday night (and I needed to get up for work this morning), I’d have finished it last night. Good stuff. When I finish that, I’ll be moving on to Michael Palmer’s THE LAST SURGEON.

On my mp3 player I started THE POWER OF THE DOG by Don Winslow. Heavy, heavy stuff. And in my car, I’m listening to WHAT THE DEAD KNOW by Laura Lippman. I should probably finish that one up in the next couple days as well.

Another great week of crime fiction!

  2. Looks like a lot of good books in your list.

  14. You have a great week coming up! I really liked “The Postmistress,” and am interested in “The Angel and the Apostle.” Plus, I’m interested to see what you think of “Almost Home,” as I need to read it maybe next week.

Right now I’m listening to “The Book of Unholy Mischief” and reading “The Time Traveler’s Guide to Medieval England.” If I get a chance today I’m planning on adding some more fiction into the mix and starting “The Wives of Henry Oades” to alternate with “TTGtME.” When I finish “The Wives…” I need to do a quick reread of “City of Refuge” before my THIB show next week, then I’ll start “They Found Him Dead,” since that review has to go up in February. Depending on how much reading I’m getting done, I may begin “Sisters In War” as a nonfiction selection when I finish “TTGtME,” because it was an Early Reviewer selection and I’m way past due on it.

I doubt I’ll finish much more than that, but if somehow I do, my next priority is “Black Hills.”

So I saw The Postmistress for the first time at the blog that I stopped at just before coming here, but I followed the link you have up to see the description and let me just tell you that I am quite possibly hooked. Sounds like a fantastic book!

    Enjoy your reading this week.

I pre-ordered Dark Matter from Amazon, so hopefully I’ll have mine read and reviewed soon. I love Peter Straub, so it should be a good read. Enjoy your week!

I followed mr linky over here from One Person’s Journey – the monday meme.

I’ve seen the Iron King on a few blogs (looks good) and this is the first time I’ve seen the Postmistress. I looked it up and it does seem very interesting. You’ve given a few ideas on future reading for me, thanks.

Looking forward to your review on The Postmistress. I’m in the middle of The Iron King too … how are you finding it?? Happy reading this week!
