It’s Time for the 24 Hour Readathon!!

deweys-readathonbutton

I’m so excited!  It’s finally here!  The activity I’ve look forward to the most!

I’ve been busy preparing!  I have my initial stack of books:

And I was busy baking last night:

Cinnamon rolls are in the oven and should be ready right at start time.

So I don’t inundate my readers with posts, I will only be doing blog posts every three to four hours.  I will update hourly on twitter, so feel free to follow me (@jennsbookshelf).

Just as a reminder, I will be reading for two charities, so please wish me luck!  Ok, I’ll be back in a few hours!!

    Good morning Jenn :-)

My name is Louise and this is my first visit to your blog, I think. I am already looking forward to visit again and check it out more :-)

I live in Denmark and have been up for hours, since I am nine hours ahead of Pacific Time and 5AM Pacific Time means 2PM in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I wish you much luck with your readathon. I have signed up this year for the first time, although I am not reading but cheerleading.

This first hour I am going to orientate myself a bit, check out the blogs participating, hanging out on Twitter and so on. I might sneak in a bit of reading here and there, but my main thing is to cheer so GO! GO! GO!

  4. Both the baking and the reading look like they will be wonderful! Good luck!!!!!

    Traditional read-a-thon blessing:

May the bookshelf be there to greet you.
    May all the books appeal.
    May the fridge be full of tasty snacks;
the words fall soft upon your eyes and until the read-a-thon ends,
may you always hold a book in the palm of your hand.

    Good luck today!

Books and cookies, who can go wrong with that? LOL

Awesome book selection for the day. I’ve not selected any to work from I’m just going with the flow. I will say that Sookie did cross my mind as an easy quick read. Might have to join you in that one. I’m currently reading The Dead & The Gone. :)
