I have heard a lot about The Orphan Train. It would be great to know your thoughts on that book. I have added And The Mountains Echoed on my TBR list as I am busy reading The Kite Runner. I love the fact that you saying And The Mountains Echoed is beautiful (convincing me lol). Thanks for sharing :)

I thought the Boy in the Suitcase was a first rate mystery novel. I’ve never read Hosseini but since you are rereading his book, I am willing to give it a try.

I love to find blogs such as yours where the books are all new to me, it’s a great way to step out of your comfort reading zone.
The Boy In The Suitcase sounds particularly interesting so I’ll be on the look out for a review of that.

Great books this week. I read and absolutely loved Orphan Train – it was the SheReads book club pick for May. I just found out that Christina Baker Kline and Beatriz Williams are going to be at a book chat in 2 weeks at the Princeton Library (in NJ), where they and 6 other authors will be chatting about their latest releases and what’s on their summer reading list. I can’t wait!!!

    Have a great week!

Hi Jenn – Checking in with you again this week – haven’t been getting a lot of reading done and I admire those of you who do – I’m reading Blue Diary by Alice Hoffman. The entire first chapter is beautifully written about Ethan Ford and the wonderful family man he is . . . his history, his relationship with his wife, family, and the community . . . a beautiful love story of a beautiful and wonderful man . . . then a knock at the front door . . . and Ethan is gone. Evidently Ethan has a past that no one knows about . . . it’s excellent . . . has anyone read it?

You have some very interesting books listed. I appreciate, also that you list links to info about them. Easy to research them that way – thanks. :)
And you have quite a variety also. I know I tend to stay in one or two genres when I read. But once in a while I like to step out and read something different, so it’s great when I find a list of interesting books like these here. :)

    Have a great week!
