  1. I finished The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern last week. It wasn’t terrible, but I didn’t like it as much as some people, including a couple of close friends, did. I got bored. It was all a lot of random magic tricks and I just couldn’t connect with the the characters.

Now I’m reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time. Yay! I’ve started this book before and never made it very far. Now I’m serious. I’ve only read about 50 pages. I have to admit it really hasn’t done much for me yet. But I’m told this one pays off big if I stick it out awhile. I’m not sure how I missed reading P&P in high school and college, but it’s been on my must read list for awhile and I’m excited to finally get to it.

Also, I’m about halfway through Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking. I put this one down for awhile. It’s interesting, but scientific. I’m planning to finish it this week.

A note about your books. I’m excited about the new book by Khaled Hosseini. The Kite Runner is one of my favorites. I haven’t read A Thousand Splendid Suns. I have it at home and I’ve been meaning to get to it, but I’m sure you know how that goes. Maybe I’ll read that one while I wait to get my hands on the new book. I hope you enjoyed it.

    :-) Happy Reading.

  2. Wow, these look way too serious for me lol. If you’re looking for any recommendations I’ve really enjoyed ‘The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared’ by Jonas Jonasson.
