  1. I’m going to try and read these books this week. I’ll be lucky if I can finish 3 or 4 of them.

Laced with Magic – Barbara Bretton
    Nightshade – Nightshade #1 – Michelle Rowen
Shot Through Velvet – Ellen Byerrum
Fruit of All Evil – Paige Shelton

Today I should finish both Julia Spencer-Fleming’s I SHALL NOT WANT and Marcia Clark’s GUILT BY ASSOCIATION.

Then I will be moving on to an oldie but, what I’m told, is a goodie, Caleb Carr’s THE ALIENIST on audio. And in print, I think it will be HELL IS EMPTY (Craig Johnson).

Lots of good reading! Hope your reading week is great, too, Jenn!

  3. The Bird Sisters is on my wish list…I’m also wanting to read the Kate Atkinson book…she always has such quirky titles, doesn’t she?

    Here’s MY MONDAY MEMES POST

  4. great books! Can’t wait to see what you thought of the girl who was on fire…I also have Katie crouch’s new book on my list. Then again, my 9 yr old seems to have taken over my blog this week!

  5. I hope you loved Cutting For Stone – I sure did. Part of my book club read it for a food review but I wish we all would have read it – this could have been in the running for best book club book of the year!

  6. I’m very interested to see what you think of THE GIRL WHO WAS ON FIRE, I contemplated taking that book, but ultimately decided I just couldn’t fit it in.

I took a break in the middle of SAFE FROM THE SEA and LITTLE WOMEN to read THE SPELLMAN FILES, but I’ll need to get back to them this week. Also hoping to read CAPTIVITY and MISS ENTROPIA AND THE ADAM BOMB.

  7. Yesterday I finished the massive (over 600 pages) Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell. Loved every page! This week I’m attacking another large tome: At Home by Bill Bryson. We’ll see how far I get! Happy reading!

  8. All of your current reads look great!

  9. This week I am reading The Raising, so I am curious to compare thoughts. It’s taking me a little bit to get into it.

I am also reading Little Women and The Wilder Life.

I finished The White Devil and it is amazing. Read it!

  10. I’m heading to your review for Cutting for STone now. I put this book down… should I pick it up again?

  11. Dru says:

I’m reading The Cat, the Lady and the Liar by Leann Sweeney. Next up will be Night Of The Living Dandelion Kate Collins
