WOw! You are really going for creepy book as of late. I really LOVED House of Dead Maids and the Scary Stories go out like wildfire at my library.

  2. I love all of the creepy stories, just in time for Halloween! I haven’t read any of these, so looking forward to reading your thoughts on them!

The House of Dead Maids sounds delicious but the cover alone petrifies me! I don’t think that bodes well for my nightly reading! ;)

Isn’t the cover spooky! I’ve been leaving the book face down when I’m not reading it! LOL

Woo hoo! How did you like STILL LIFE, Jenn? I love that narrator.

Me, I’m working on another R.J. Ellory. This time I’m reading A SIMPLE ACT OF VIOLENCE. He’s just amazing. Last week I finished THE ANNIVERSARY MAN. Can’t say enough wonderful stuff about his writing. He never seems to do the same thing twice and no matter what he’s writing about, he totally blows me away.

On audio I’m working on DEVIL BONES by Kathy Reichs. Enjoying being back with Tempe. Last week I finished up FINDING NOUF by Zoe Ferraris…recommended by Swapna. It was wonderful. Really enjoyed it.

I really loved Still Life when I read it. How was it on audio?

It was good. The narrator, Ralph Cosham, did an outstanding job with the voices & characters, but didn’t give an adequate pause when the scenes shifted. It took a bit of time to get used to it.

  8. I’m currently in the middle of “The Hanging Tree” by Bryan Gruley. Up after that are “After the Workshop” by John McNally, “Divine Appointments” by Charlene Baumbich, and “Mr. Mendoza’s Paintbrush,” a graphic novel the text of which is by Luis Alberto Urrea.

I’m actually not listening to ANY audio at the moment, but I’m planning on starting “You Don’t Look Like Anyone I Know” by Heather Sellers this afternoon.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Bryan’s book!

This week I relegated “sword of shanara” to the bathroom; I finished “Wicked: Witch & Curse” and moved on to reading “1022 evergreen place”. Thus far the last book is the better of all three.
When thats done “rings of ice” is on deck and its been so long since I’ve read it I can’t wait to see if it lives up to my memory.
