Great week! I have heard good things about The Blessings of the Animals. I’m glad you liked it. Mockingjay is going to have to wait until next week for me. I sent it to my winter home and won’t be arriving there until Friday. I hope it is as good as the first two. My Monday report is here. Happy reading!
Wow, I wish I could read that many books in one week!
I started last night a re-read of Twilight of Avalon by Anna Elliott in preparation of reading book two, Dark Moon of Avalon.
Have a great week!

Well obviously MOCKINGJAY. I’ll also be working on THE HANDMAID’S TALE in small spurts over the next few weeks for the Classic Reads Bookclub discussion. Other than those, my plans for this week include THE LAST OF THE TRIBE by Monte Reel, THE REPORT by Jessica Francis Kane, and THE GENDARME by Mark Mustian. If I finish all of those, will likely begin working my way through OUTLANDER, and may start FOR THE KING’S FAVOR by Elizabeth Chadwick.
My current audio is BODY WORKS by Sarah Paretsky. Two hours in (out of 16) and it is quite good so far).

Same as Jen from Devourer of Books — I’m in process of reading The Handmaid’s Tale and Mockingjay when it comes out tomorrow. It’s a good week, and yours looks fabulous!!

Hmm, actually I doubt I’ll get to FOR THE KING’S FAVOR. I just remembered that I also want to get through LET’S TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME by Gail Caldwell, because I’m planning to lend it to someone next week and I AM NUMBER FOUR, because it has a big waitlist at the library.
Nice list of books you completed last week. Our weather was so beautiful here in the NW that I didn’t get much reading done. However, I’ve just started reading an interesting YA christian fiction book called “Ben’s Big Bang Botheration” by author David Millette. It discusses what most schools teach as the Big Bang theory of creation and a God created universe. I can hardly wait to have my kids read it and discuss it with them.

I hope you’re enjoying 61 Hours as it’s the next one for me to read in the Transworld Summer Reading challenge.

I’m in the middle of ASHES TO WATER right now and then I’ll be moving on to Laura Lippman’s I’D KNOW YOU ANYWHERE. After that, I’m so giddy because I have Reed Farrel Coleman’s INNOCENT MONSTER. On audio I’m going to finish THE DEEP BLUE ALIBI during my workout today and then on to a re-listen of THE COLD DISH for my book club. Lots of fun stuff!
I just finished The Blessings of the Animals and now that I’m through crying, I’ll probably pick up My Only Sunshine.
