I’m finishing up a book called AN ORDINARY DECENT CRIMINAL. Which I was unsure of at first, but by about page 50 I stopped and thought, “hey! I’m rather enjoying this book!” Fun and different.
I’m also reading Marcus Sakey’s short story anthology SCAR TISSUE. And for me, I can say, “it’s Marcus Sakey” and nothing else really needs to be stated. I just love his work. The words on the pages are magic. I don’t know how he does it.
On audio, I’m listening to CAST OF SHADOWS by Kevin Guilfoile. A very intriguing plot about cloning and ethics.

I downloaded SCAR TISSUE this weekend. I can’t wait to start it. CAST OF SHADOWS does sound quite intriguing! I’ll definitely have to check it out!

I’m just about done reading The Tapestry of Love by Rosy Thornton and have The House of Mirth going as well. A lovely weekend spent reading!
I need to try those Jack Reacher novels. I have heard good things about them. I too am eager to read Infinite Days. My copy should be in the mail. My weekly report is here. Happy reading!

I can’t say enough good things about the Reacher books. Captivating, exciting…addictive!

I just went back and looked at my answers from last week, and I totally lied about everything I would read after “The Stuff That Never Happened.” Oh well. I really am going to read “29″ this week, after I finish with “Simply from Scratch” by Alicia Bessette, which I am almost done with. Then the rest of the week will be Harper Perennial books, for a theme week next week. I’m thinking “What He’s Poised to Do” and “Lake Overturn.” I probably won’t get through more than that this week, but if I do I’ll probably grab “Everything’s Going to Be Great,” “Lean on Pete,” and either “Kapitoil” or “Almost Dead.”

In addition to spending time with HUNGER GAMES and CATCHING FIRE before MOCKINGJAY arrives, I’ve just started MR. TOPPIT by Charles Elton, a fall release, about a family whose late father wrote a series of books that immortalizes the son (a bit like Christopher Robin). “Darkly comic” appears apt.
Also want to get to the new Lee Child and James Lee Burke this week.

Oops! Forgot to talk about my audio books! Right now I’m in the middle of my re-read/listen of “Catching Fire.” When I finish I’ll likely move on to either “The City and the City” or “How to Buy a Love of Reading.”
You are in a Jack Reacher mode – the series must be great! I’m reading Countdown and will start Paula Deen’s Savannah Style next.

OOH I will have to see what you thought of Echo In The bone. I am curious about that one. Enjoy your week
I am reading The Leisure Seeker by Michael Zadoorian. I love that you are reading the Jack Reacher series. It think that this series is my all time favorite!
