Teaser Tuesday: Last Writes by Sheila Lowe

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week comes from Last Writes: A Forensic Handwriting Mystery by Sheila Lowe:

“She had come to realize that James Miller and the rest of them were all true believers, willing to blindly follow the governing board.  That was the one thing she could fault them for: their willingness to reject independent thinking as they had been so thoroughly conditioned to do.” (p. 209)

What’s your teaser this week?

    1. You should check out the other books in the series: Poison Pen, Written in Blood, & Dead Write as well. I highly recommend them all!

    1. The author, Sheila Lowe, is a forensic handwriting expert! This book is the fourth in a series. I highly recommend all of them!

  1. I love the thought of a forensic handwriting mystery! Those specializations make the greatest stories. (I’m reading a thriller now about a former art thief-turned-sleuth. So of course we learn a lot about the art world, from the collector’s point of view. Love stories like these!)

So this was a great teaser, and it sounds like a fascinating book. Excellent choice!

Meanwhile, my own teaser (I keep writing “taser,” a whole ‘nother thing) is at Bookishgal.

  2. I was thrilled to see your comments about my new book (thanks, Google Alerts). Anyone who’s on the fence, thinking of buying it–it’s in paperback–you can reach the first chapter on the website: http://www.claudiaroseseries.com. Now I’m off to Burbank airport, heading to MI for a signing at Aunt Agatha’s in Ann Arbor. I hope you all love the books.
    Best,
    Sheila
