This is cool. I’ve been intrigued by this book since it takes place at Carville, a place that has fascinated me ever since I learned about its existence. I can’t remember if it was high school or college that they told us that Louisiana was home to this facility (I’m from Louisiana). It’s obviously got a very sad history, but it’s medical history is very interesting. I’ve been looking into other books about the place since then so I’m glad to see a new one.

Yes, it’s a very interesting story. I like how the author included bits of medical history in his telling. It really added a lot of dimension to the book.
