  1. THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST! by Stieg Larsson
FORGE (manuscript) by Laurie Halse Anderson, to be published October 2010
PRETTY ON THE OUTSIDE by Kate Kingsley
and THE WITCHY WORRIES OF ABBIE ADAMS by Rhonda Hayter
    – a good combination of books for work and play!

    Jenn Reply:

Oh I’m jealous you have Forge!

This week I’m well into Gar Anthony Haywood’s CEMETERY ROAD, which is just exceptional. Following that I will be starting Jamie Freveletti’s upcoming RUNNING DARK. On audio I’m in the midst of Reed Farrel Coleman’s THE JAMES DEANS. So much good stuff!

    Jenn Reply:

Adding those books to my ever growing wish-list :)

  3. Last week I finshed The Forgotten Garden. This week I am going to finish The Passage and The Luxe.
Oh…and I am hoping to finish Stuff, a non-fiction book about hoarding.

    Jenn Reply:

Wow! You are reading a lot of chunkers!

  4. Well, I’ve got about 100 pages left in “The Passage,” so I’ll be trying to finish that tonight. I’m also reading 2 chapters a day in “Day for Night” to discuss with Heather (Capricious Reader). After “The Passage” will come “Secret Daughter,” since I’m going to an event with the author on Friday. Then I need to try to get back on my schedule, I got behind when I tried to just squeeze “The Passage” in. I definitely need to get to “Broken” by Travis Thrasher and “My Name is Memory,” plus start “The Nobodies Album” if possible.

I’m also listening to “So Cold The River,” which I doubt I’ll finish this week.

    Jenn Reply:

I really need to get back to my schedule too. I think I’m a book or two behind!

I’ve got a couple books going on right now. I seem to be on a traveling/memoir kick.

A Year in the World: Journeys of a Passionate Traveller by Frances Mayes

My Life in France by Julia Child

    Jenn Reply:

    Both sound like great books!

  6. Rebecca says:

I am reading In the Sanctuary of Outcasts right now, too. Very interesting. How are you liking it?

    Jenn Reply:

I enjoyed it! My post goes up tomorrow!

  7. I am so behind the curve again – I don’t even own The Passage. I hope you’re enjoying it.

    Jenn Reply:

I am enjoying it! And don’t feel bad about being behind the curve, it’s impossible to keep up with all the great books coming out this summer!

I finished Newes from the Dead by Mary Hooper just before the weekend and I’m just about to start Hunted by the Others by Jess Haines… I had a non-stop weekend, so I haven’t had a chance to get stuck in yet.

    Jenn Reply:

I understand..we’ve had a pretty hectic few weeks ourselves. I’m just getting back into my reading groove!

  9. The Alison Dare series looks great! I’m going to have to check those out! Thanks!

Have a fantastic reading week and if you get a chance, stop by: Monday Reading’s at There’s A Book

    Jenn Reply:

It’s a great series! We really enjoyed it!

  10. I am curious about The Passage – I really wanted to get that one and missed out. Hope it is wonderful :)

    Jenn Reply:

It is! I highly recommend it!

  11. Another person reading The Passage. I’m really interested in that one. I look forward to your review!

You’ve got some good reading going on and coming up. Happy reading! :)

    Jenn Reply:

It’s phenomenal! It’s advertised as a book about vampires, but it’s really about much much more. I’m quite fond it of it, don’t want to have to wait two more years for the second book in the trilogy to be released.

I’m currently reading Crimson by Gord Rollo, and tomorrow I start Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by J.K. Rowling.

  13. Jenn says:

I have Crimson on my TBR stack! You’ll have to let me know what you think of it.
