Books to Complete This Week
Since I’ll be at BEA all this week, I purposefully haven’t scheduled any reading that I HAVE to complete this week. I do plan on reading Justin Cronin’s THE PASSAGE on my train ride to and from NYC.
What are you reading this week?

I also made sure not to really schedule anything that needed to be read, except “Motherhood is Murder,” which I had planned on reading on the plane ride out because it is a fun cozy mystery and a physically light book (mmpb). However, I finished my books last week way early and already read one of my scheduled books for next week (“The One That I Want” by Allison Winn Scotch) AND am already over halfway done with “Motherhood is Murder,” so I’m going to take “Tinkers” on the plane because I don’t think there exists a book that weighs less and takes up less room. My thin, cheapy Sudoku book is a bigger burden to carry around.
On my Ipod I have 3 different David Sedaris works, plus a bunch of NPR podcasts of Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me and This American Life to listen to.

Last week I finished up Reed Farrel Coleman’s REDEMPTION STREET on audio and Rebecca Cantrell’s A NIGHT OF LONG KNIVES in print. So on tap for this week is Chris Grabenstein’s HELL HOLE on audio and Michael Lister’s THUNDER BEACH in print.
We read some of the same books. Have a great time at BEA and BBC, I wish I was there. My Monday: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/05/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-24-may.html
I’ve got a few books on the go right now but am particilarly enjoying CLINICAL BRUTAL – a collection of short stories and poetic pieces. It’s an intense read in the main, and while many readers would probably find a lot of it quite shocking, sometimes you really need writing that cuts to the core of the human condition.
I can’t wait to read The Girl Who Played with Fire. I want to listen to it on audio I think. I love the narrator they used on the 1st book.
Have fun at BEA! I wish I was there with you.
