Hah! I want to read that Abraham Lincoln book but am afraid I’ll be struck down by lightning if I pick it up. It is just.. so wrong!

Well no, because two little boys were stuck in the house with you! Can’t wait to hear what you think of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER!
I ended up staying up too late last night to finish THEY FOUND HIM DEAD, so I’m officially not reading anything right now except my audio book of THE CANTERBURY TALES. My first book this week is going to be PIECES OF HAPPILY EVER AFTER for the SheKnows book club, then BLACK HILLS for THIB next week. After that I *swear* I’m going to read SISTERS IN WAR, probably along with THE QUEEN’S GOVERNESS. If I get far enough, I’ll end the week with ALMOST HOME. If not, that will be my first read of next week.

Last week I finished up Alafair Burke’s 212 and Laura Lippman’s WHAT THE DEAD KNOW.
212 is just…well…fabulous! Alafair Burke does an exemplary job of reflecting our culture.
WHAT THE DEAD KNOW is good, but I don’t think one of Lippman’s best.
This week I’m working on THE LAST SURGEON by Michael Palmer. Very good medical thriller. Then I’m listening to POWER OF THE DOG by Don Winslow on audio book. If you’ve not read this one, it’s a must. It’s epic. That’s the best way I can describe it. It isn’t for the faint of heart, though.
And last, I’m listening to Alafair Burke’s DEAD CONNECTION. I have already read this one, but am listening to it on audio. The major question I have for Brilliance is why they opted for a male narrator. I just haven’t gotten the “why” yet.
Anyway, that’s my line-up for this week! Happy reading!
The Iron King is in my TBR pile. House of Leaves looks great. I will be checking that one out.
I want to read The Postmistress so badly. I truly enjoyed Angel & Apostle, I hope you do as well. Happy reading. My Monday: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/02/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-15.html

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the Abe Lincoln book! An appropriate read for the week that starts with Presidents’ Day. I enjoyed the Postmistress. Currently reading: Kingdom of Ohio, Tails of Wonder and Imagination (never thought I’d read an anthology of cat stories, but there are so great authors in there!) and re-reading The Great Hunt, book 2 of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on House of Leaves as well – it’s been on my list for some time!

I’m FINALLY reading “Three Cups of Tea”. The Abraham Lincoln book sounds interesting!
I still can’t finish THE WITCHING HOUR by Rice, but have been reading other stuff on the side. Finished LOS DOCE SELLOS by a friend, Gabriela Da Silva. Other than that, this has been a heavy dri… er, socializing week, so haven’t had much time.
Still hoping I could finish that darn book this week. Then I’ll be starting the fourth of the Sookie Stackhouse series and THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO.
I would get cabin fever after a while! The Postmistress looks so good!
I really want to read the Postmistress! Looks like you have a busy week ahead of you.

THe Postmistress looks awesome as well. Enjoy your books this week!
Sounds like my week, I only got through one book. I’m still reading The Iron King, I don’t think I should have read it after Beautiful Creatures, it’s been a bit of a struggle. Looking forward to your review and your thoughts on The Postmistress. Hope next week is a better one for you
I have heard soooo many good things about the Postmistress. It’s definitely on my TBR soon pile.
