I finally finished Beautiful Creatures, too. It was wonderful and I am eagerly awaiting the next one. However, in the meantime, I am revisiting some old friends. This week I’m re-reading The Hunger Games & Catching Fire, then I’m on to re-reading The Highlander books that lead up to Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series. It’s like comfort food, without the calories. tee hee.

Last week I finished up Ken Bruen’s CALIBRE and Kelli Stanley’s CITY OF DRAGONS. Yesterday I started listening to L.A. REQUIEM on audio, which I’ve read before but was listening to on my way to the Robert Crais event. I’ll finish that up this week and also Ken Bruen’s THE DRAMATIST. I’m going to try to squeeze in my book club’s book THE HOUSEKEEPER AND THE PROFESSOR, but I’m also incredibly engrossed in Don Winslow’s THE GENTLEMEN’S HOUR!

  4. Alexis Grant says:

I just started Nothing To Declare. Hope to finish it this week.

    Cheers!

  5. Beautiful Creatures is on my list of books for next week. Have a happy reading week!

  6. Shy says:

Another person that have read “Beautiful Creatures”! I am officially jealous. Though I hope that you’ll have a great reading week, this week. Have a pleasant day!

  7. Jennifer says:

I like Lee Child and need to get back to reading more works by Child. I was supposed to have red The Devil In Merrivale, sadly it arrived too late, so I will fit it in whenever I can. You have a wonderful reading week! My Monday, if interested: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/01/what-are-you-reading-on-mondays-25.html

  8. Lynne says:

I would love to read Beautiful Creatures. I love that title, for one thing, plus I’ve heard so many other people talk about it on their blogs. So yep, it’s on the tbr list.

Have a great week of reading!

I started Kelli Stanley’s City of Dragons over the weekend and it’s really a fantastic read! Definitely recommended — noirish 1940s San Francisco mystery.

    Jenn Reply:

I just got a copy of City of Dragons over the weekend! I can’t wait to read it. I’ve been aching to read it since I first heard of it months ago!

  10. Oh goodness, what am I reading this week? Well, my audiobook is a re-read of “The Swan Thieves.” I expect to finish that, not quite sure what I’ll pick up next, maybe one of the Amy Einhorn books I got from the library on audio.

In print, I’m making my way slowly through “The Book of Fathers.” It is a doorstop of a book and a translation from Hungarian. It deals with a family over 400 years of Hungarian history and, since I’m not totally up on my Hungarian history, it is a bit slow to get through. Each chapter is 40 pages(!), so I’m only committing to 1 per day, and then get to read something else for the rest of the day or 50 pages, whatever comes first. I may still be reading this NEXT Monday…

My first in-between-chapters book is going to be “Remarkable Creatures” by Tracy Chevalier. If I finish that, probably “The Queen’s Dollmaker,” since I need to review that sooner rather than later.

  11. Kathy says:

I bet The Girl Next Door is a good one! I’m reading Searching for Tina Turner – not sure what I’ll pick up next.

  12. J. Kaye says:

You are really getting caught up on your Reacher series. Love Lee Child!

  13. Teddyree says:

What a fantastic line-up, I’m reading Beautiful Creatures right now and I love, love, Graham Masterton, have read many of his but not Blind Panic so I’m off to check out your review. Happy reading :-)

  14. Alita says:

It looks like you had a good reading week. Enjoy the books you have coming up!

    Here’s what I’m reading.
