    Read-a-thon Progress-6:00 PM ET

To make things easier, I will be using the format below to update my status. Many other bloggers seem to be using this format and I can see why. It’s much easier!

    Dewey's Read-a-thon Update: 4:00 PM ET

Time is certainly flying by! I can’t believe it’s already 4 pm!

Update on my progress: I have about 50 pages left in Ink Exchange. I’ll probably take an hour or so break after reading that one and catch up with some chores around the house, perhaps watch some TV. Something to break up the reading a bit. After my break I will start Fragile Eternity, the third book in the Wicked Lovely trilogy.

Don’t forget! I’ll be announcing the winners today of The Turnaround and Spring Audiobook contests! There is still time to enter!

    Dewey's Read-a-thon Update- 2:00 PM ET

Just returned from walking the dog…again. I’ve sent the boys upstairs for some quiet time. We’ll see how long it lasts!

I’m on page 85 of Ink Exchange. It’s a faster read than Wicked Lovely was. My reading time is getting better, let’s hope it keeps improving!

Remember, you can follow me on twitter if you want to get more frequent updates. I’ll be making blog updates whenever I take a break.

I’m so proud of all the readers participating in the read-a-thon. We have quite a large contingent! And several people have seen all the #readathon tweets and so we’re also educating the public. What a wonderful feeling! I’m certain Dewey would be proud!

Ok…I’ll be back in a bit with another update!

    Dewey's Read-a-thon Update, Hour 5

It’s about 12:15 PM here and we’re already in to hour 5 of Dewey’s Read-a-thon.

I’ve finished Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely and I’m taking a break to read some blogs, eat lunch, and fold some laundry before moving on to Ink Exchange.

Thanks again for all the support!

    Dewey's Read-a-thon, Hour Three

Well, we’re heading into hour three of Dewey’s Read-a-thon. I’m about 100 pages from the end of my first book, Wicked Lovely. My husband took the boys out to McDonalds for breakfast and ran to the grocery store for some snacks to sustain me. They’ve returned, but luckily they are quieter than when they left.

I’ll be back in a few hours. Thanks to all of the cheerleaders with your encouraging words!

    Read-a-thon, Hour 2

Ok, hour one didn’t go nearly as well as I hoped it would. Both of my boys (John, 9 and Justin, 3) are awake and demanding breakfast. Hubby went on snack run, leaving me to deal with them. Also, I put on a load of laundry and our persnickity washer refused to spin. Of course, it worked as soon as my husband returned.

Ok, back to the read-a-thon. I’m only about 50 pages into my first read, Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. I hope I’m able to make up some time; I’d hoped to be halfway finished with the first book by now.

    Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon is Here!

And I’m ready! I got 9 hours of sleep last night so I’m rested up!

I will do regular updates on Twitter, so please follow my progress there. In addition, I will be updating this post every 2-3 hours with my progress. The official hashtag for the Read-a-thon is #readathon, so you can follow the progress of other readers as well.

And please, check out the read-a-thon web site to see all the other readers participating in the Read-a-thon!

Here is a picture of the books I plan to read during the read-a-thon. This doesn’t include the ARCs that I have to read.

Ok, so check back periodically to see my progress. Please don’t forget to visit my Countdown to Dewey’s Read-a-thon post and help me support Books for Soldiers!
