I’ve been waiting for your perspective on this — for obvious reasons. Sometimes I forget just how much better things are in terms of prejudice, even though we still need to make progress.

I loved this book so much. Just 29 years ago I had my dreams crushed when my parents forbid me to marry a black man,threatened to disown me. At 23 I didn’t trust myself and I left him. I loved Julie’s book and I too can’t wait to discuss with our book club at some point. M

This sounds really interesting, I love the dynamic of these two women coming together and uncovering so much beyond the surface, which it seems like their relationship had been prior to the drive.
