I very much want to read this book. My dad died very suddenly and unexpectedly recently in an accident and I think my mom and I can both relate to so many aspects of this book. I really want to read it and see if it might be good for mom as well.

I really liked this book. I think it is really obvious that Laura has an affinity for poetry, it comes across in her writing.

loved Laura’s book. And, you’re right, lots of reading group dicussion points relating to the actual book and then opening up the conversation to members’ lives– loss, physical spirit (ghost)or spirituality of healing, starting over. Reading Group Choices selected The Widow’s Season. I believe Laura will be on my reading group panel at VABOOK! Thanks for featuring Laura.
